This is a picture of a boxwood shrub infested with boxwood leafminer. The boxwood leafminer is a common pest of boxwood shrubs and is the larvae of a small fly. The larvae tunnel through the leaves, causing them to turn brown and eventually drop from the plant. This pest can cause significant damage to boxwood shrubs if left untreated. **

This black insect is known as a ladybug or ladybird beetle. They are commonly recognized for their small, round bodies and bright red or orange spots. Ladybugs are beneficial insects that help control aphid populations in gardens and crops, making them a favorite among gardeners. **

They are social insects that live in colonies and are known for their ability to forage for food and work together to build intricate underground nests. Many people are familiar with these ants and their behavior, making them a well-known insect to many. **

Agricultural experts, entomologists, and farmers are likely to have knowledge about this insect pest. They would be familiar with the characteristics, behavior, and potential damage caused by the pest. Additionally, pest control professionals and researchers specializing in crop protection would also have expertise in identifying and managing this insect pest. **

The insect that fits this description is likely a ground beetle. Ground beetles are typically around 2 cm long, black in color, and have a matte black appearance. A black, flying, buzzing insect could be a common housefly. Houseflies are small insects with a black body that can fly and make a buzzing sound as they move around. They are often found in and around homes, particularly in areas where food is present. **

Black is better for insect protection because it absorbs more light and heat than lighter colors, making it harder for insects to see and locate potential hosts. Additionally, black clothing and materials are less reflective, making it more difficult for insects to detect movement. This can help reduce the likelihood of insect bites and stings, making black a more effective choice for insect protection in certain environments. **

The insect that lays black rice-shaped eggs is the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens). These eggs are typically laid in decaying organic matter, such as compost, manure, or food waste. The black soldier fly is known for its ability to efficiently convert organic waste into protein-rich larvae, making it a valuable insect for waste management and sustainable agriculture. **
