The insect that has a proboscis and something on its back is the butterfly. The proboscis is a long, tube-like mouthpart that butterflies use to suck nectar from flowers. On its back, a butterfly has a pair of colorful and delicate wings that are covered in tiny scales. These wings are used for flying and are often adorned with intricate patterns and designs. **

Yes, flies have a proboscis, which is a long, tube-like mouthpart that they use for feeding. The proboscis is used to suck up liquids such as nectar, blood, or other fluids that flies feed on. It is a specialized structure that helps flies to access their food sources. **

The proboscis monkey is a unique species of monkey found in Borneo, known for its distinctive long, fleshy nose called a proboscis. This nose is more prominent in males and is thought to attract females and amplify vocalizations. Proboscis monkeys are primarily arboreal, living in mangrove forests and near rivers where they feed on leaves, fruits, and occasionally insects. They are considered endangered due to habitat loss and hunting. **

The strange insect with 6 legs, barbs, and a black proboscis is called a "robber fly." These predatory insects are known for their long, piercing mouthparts and their habit of ambushing and feeding on other insects in mid-air. They are often found in open, sunny areas and are important for controlling pest insect populations in their habitats. **

Both proboscis monkeys and horses are herbivores, feeding primarily on plant matter such as leaves, fruits, and seeds. They both live in social groups, with proboscis monkeys forming harems led by a dominant male, while horses live in herds led by a dominant mare. Additionally, both species have unique physical characteristics that help them thrive in their respective environments - proboscis monkeys have large, protruding noses that help amplify their calls and regulate their body temperature, while horses have strong, muscular bodies built for running and grazing. **

Both proboscis animals and horses are mammals with long, elongated noses or snouts. They use their proboscis or snout to gather food, such as grass or leaves, and bring it to their mouths for consumption. Additionally, both proboscis animals and horses are herbivores, meaning they primarily eat plant-based diets. Finally, both types of animals are known for their strong sense of smell, which they use to locate food and navigate their environments. **

This is a picture of a boxwood shrub infested with boxwood leafminer. The boxwood leafminer is a common pest of boxwood shrubs and is the larvae of a small fly. The larvae tunnel through the leaves, causing them to turn brown and eventually drop from the plant. This pest can cause significant damage to boxwood shrubs if left untreated. **

Agricultural experts, entomologists, and farmers are likely to have knowledge about this insect pest. They would be familiar with the characteristics, behavior, and potential damage caused by the pest. Additionally, pest control professionals and researchers specializing in crop protection would also have expertise in identifying and managing this insect pest. **
